You have to understand, they probably have stacks of apps about 10" thick there for jobs...From what I hear, NAS is one of the best of the larger terminals to work out of...be patient and don't give up...Keep callin'em.....
Ya after they let go of all those good drivers a few years back because they were Linehaul, you might have a good chance in there now!
well boys, I got my app in at the smyrna terminal. I just hope pam in h.r. dont get sick of hearing my voice every monday when i call to see if they are hiring yet........ candles will be lit and signs of the cross will be made every night!
Good luck ! It would be nice to move up the ladder a step or two
It's funny I called Atlanta last week and was told by someone in the office they don't take calls on linehaul positions, they look through the applications when they need someone and if you fit, they call you.
I did go down and fill the app out in person, no one from operations came to talk to me. Of course that's when they were dealing with the whole initial replacement of the TM down there. Who knows, we'll just see. Seems as though right now the good Lord likes me in blue on a tow motor, despite my feelings about the whole issue![]()
I hate the stupid front office people. Same at con-way. I called a terminal the other day and asked to speak to the personnel supervisor. I identified myself as a current employee, and she didnt want to give me the guys work contact number. Ridiculous.
Try to find out the manager's email or HR guy and try to get around that first hurdle. Make friends with a driver and get it that way. You're a smart guy and very knowledgeable so I'm sure you'll eventually get on somewhere decent
