fl i think your missing the point on written policy.if there is a hand book it cant be changed when ever for what ever if its on the intranet the company has the ability to change policy at will.lets say monday i forget to put my driver number on a dr i can get written up now lets say another guy does it tuesday and they don't like that driver they can change it to no driver number than your fired.i know thats an extreme example but i got other things on my mind and couldn't come up with a bettr one.
as far as being a young red shirt rather than an older one it seems to me the younger ones wants to improve things the and the older one just wants a job

yes that is a bit extreme but in the same sense being able to change it is good for you guys look at all the talk of one senority board if this were to be something that all of the driver wanted and couldnt get changed because the policy was written in stone we would all be crying about that then

not so what the worry is procedure policy and things like whats expected of us.a major thing like changing the bid will happen wether it was written in a book or on the intranet but there is to many othe variables when the company can change policy on the the drop of a dime.also for corrective actions when it comes to enforcing policy isn't written out specificly and thats where things get dangerouse.fedex could fire one guy and do a verbal to another guy for the same offense.

yes there are some odd holes in the system but if we do our jobs right and not worry about the little things we shouldnt have to deal with things such as corrective action but its not a perfect world so there isnt much you or I can do about that.

I think this is a problem in every barn some more than others , and you know who I'm talking about here guys. The energy they spend sticking their noses in others business could be focused on their own damn faults and lack of good production for the company.
