In Ice conditions when you slam on brakes you pick up speed. It was not the truckers fault. how can you and anyone else speculate on what happened or how fast they were traveling? this appeared to be a dash camera from a police car.
It was the fault of the suv. No it wasn't from a police cruiser dash cam. I can speculate on what I see in the video.

    1. Snow was built up on the road.
    2. By the looks of the road there was probably patchy black ice.
All the vehicles seemed to be driving at a slightly fast pace. Also a suv does not completely fall apart like that unless hit at high speeds. Its not the truck drivers fault but if he had been going slower he may have been able to avoid the vehicle or apply the breaks.

Oh my God. You think 5 miles per hour would have changed anything? Just stop it already. The SUV was entirely at fault. Seriously, this is why truckers are constantly being harassed.

5 mph could have made the difference of the semi not being there. I'm not blaming the trucker.

From the looks of the short trailers and the cabover I'm not even sure if this was done in the U.S.,but what ever the circumstances it was a devastating wreck.

According to the video, this accident happened in Russia. Before you pass judgement, I think you need to use their perimeters as far as safety goes. Anyone here currently up on Russian safety regulations?

you provide something that says otherwise. I am going on a statement from a North Carolina Highway Patrol officer. He should know what he is talking about. unlike you. What you say is Bull unless you can disprove what I say.
