    Pre-employment drug test

    sponsored links
I find it hard to believe this is a merger when all the Natl guys have to go in for a pre-employment drug test before the 31st. I sure don't mind doing it as long as my pay stays the same. Is this happening across the country or just in the NW?

We have FXNL drivers transfering in and keeping their $2 more per hr for the first year. If they can't pass a drug test maybe they shouldn't be able to transfer.

Around 4 years ago we had a driver transfer to FXFW before we were one company and they let him keep his chicago area pay for a set time there as well before he dropped to their pay scale. It's kind of a weird policy but then again what is normal here?

I haven't heard a word about this in SLK.

Yea, this is just adding insult to injury. I'm sorry man, but not only did I get screwed in this merger with several years with the company and now will be shot to the bottom and I'll be lucky to work one or 2 days a week and now they get to keep an extra 2 bucks an hour?? You've got to be schitting me! What's next ...

I haven't heard one peep about this. Not that it's a big deal but since we're only 5 days away from D-Day you would think they'd let us know

When FXE and FXW merged everyone kept their same pay rate even even though you did the same job in the same geographic area. Not many people saw this because there wasn't much overlap. I made more than my counterpart did. Because of that my wage remains the same until my counterpart catches up with me. So it has already been done. Welcome to my world guys.

We were told that National drivers will keep their pay rate and will not get any increases until we, Freight catch up to them.
