I have had it with the up's and down's. I also dislike how I am limited with how much I can make because of the constant changes that come with these freight companies.

I hope to see the end of my searching of a great job here

See Matt, now ya gotta hang around here more often and give us updates, you done good! Is your wife excited about it? I'm certain you will have a much better life with Frito Lay, are you starting out on the extra list or what? IDK if they are union up there, are they?

No Topeka is not union. Other areas are, Kansas is not the strongest state for union shops. That's ok, they seem to pay and treat their people well. Yes I will fill in on an extra board for a year or two.

Ok, so I assume you are going to do transport, around OK, they pull 2 53's, IDK what they do with them, I always figured they unloaded at the small locations that do distribution, for instance, frito has a location east of MKO and they have a fenced building that the step vans load chips to deliver....that product has to come from somewhere.

Wonder Bread, (interstate brands), does stuff like that, they deliver racks of bread to outlying areas that do the distribution.

I hope that you will come here to the food forums and let us know the breakdown of your first week or few days, you are one of us now, we want to hear how things are going.

Excellent decision there. Long haul and freight, they can keep it.

A guy I went to school with and played many sports with works in the Lancaster Pa one, something in management.

Another guy is in the plant, their BIL. Both have been there for around 15 years , making funny money.

    Good luck

Just 6 states and I think you got the system down. Paid by mile. Also per stop. Also per case. Also double 53' pay more. Insurance is gonna be cheaper than what I got a FXF.
Also a year on the bottom at FXF and at frito I know people are starting after me.
    Start 8/20 next Monday !!

I know your excited!! I'm glad your leaving Fredex, I F'ing hated it there, I'm soooo glad I left, absolutely no regrets, some of my friends feel stuck due to the pay, there is life after Fredex, I have proved it and now your doing it. If I ever go back to freight..not likely at all..I would go to OD or the Big E, never, ever Fredex!!!

I know you will do great over at Frito Lay, I bet your going to love it!!!
