Anyone work for this company. They were based out of Dallas and Abilene TX but went from Tenn,Oklahoma,Tx,New Mexico,Ark,possible other states.
They also had a unit in California.
I along with several other YRC Drivers in OKC/531 worked for them.
We are trying to find out about the retirement.
It was Union Of Transportation Employees but has merged several times with other Unions.
Does anyone have a retirement from them or know who to call to get them benefits.
Some of these guys have 20+ years and cannot find out who to call.
    Thanks

[/quote]vwaggs, I believe you should just contact the union local that you guys were with. I believe Merchants Fast Motor Lines would not have any info. for you guys. We have a driver that was with
Chicago Independent Truck Drivers Union, and he had 25 years with them. well the company closed there doors one morning, locked everyone out. Found out they were not contributing to there benefits all the time. Not really sure how it all unfolded, but he went to court, and only gets $350.00 per month. Yep, prettey pissed off drivers. What I do, is call the local down town chicago, and check my status every quarter. So do a little reserch, and good luck, I still want YRC, to make a great company again.

    Re: Merchants Fast Motor Lines

Merchants Fast motor lines has been out of business for at least 15 yrs.assets the pension plan were probally liquidated by the bankruptcy judge some time ago ,if this was a in-house union. The bankruptcy court in Dallas might have a list of creditors and a pension fund would qualify as a creditor..

Actually I have been able to track retirement information down for my husband Mike. Once I found out were it was located, it was easy for him to claim the benefits. Does anyone still need to know?
