The majority of the contracted mail goes from one DC to another from one city to another. Local delivery runs that pick up mail from the MPA, HASP, and DC and take the mail to various Post Office branches is still operated by the Post Office. Basically if you drive for the Post Office, it's going to be all local. I'm based out of Indianapolis, and we rarely venture outside of the I-465 belt. When we do, it isn't that far. Our DC is actually still hiring for drivers.

Easy is a understatement. I wouldn't even call it work.

*Every truck/vehicle in the fleet is a automatic
    *No logging anything
    *No weigh stations
    *No truck stops
*Trailer height is 12'6", so that 13' overhang/bridge is no longer a problem

Yes. you will get some sleep in also. Those 2 hour lunch breaks are to die for.

If you look at the LTL threads...you will notice that not a lot of people are complaining over at OD...there is a reason for that!
