Isnt this a suprise! No LOA and no way to go anywhere else to TRY to pick up some pension time. I have 10 YEARS LEFT TO GET MY 30 YEARS BUT i WILL HAVE TO WORK 40 MORE YEARS TO GET IT!! W.T.F. At that time I will be 92 years old and will still have to wait 60 months to have my pension secure. Are we in a prison without the brick and mortar walls?

This could be far fetched but I have always believed that YRC is doing all this on purpose. They want out of the pension fund. They are trying to get the rank and file upset with it that we might agree to a 401 only. Just seems to me that there is a lot of money in the kitty we do not know about. Like i said far fetched assumption.....

You can go at 65 if you have the years of service and after you go the waiting period for your pension securment went from 13 months to 60 months!!!!!!!!!! We are screwed!!

Griz, Its in the list of things they changed on the first page. There are others such as disiability and spouse benefits in the list.

Everyone was warned that once they felt that the members were leaning backwards........they would push even harder. The voting in favor of concessions, multiple times, was all the proof that they needed. Too late to fix now. Just be happy that you have a job, remember?
