When we work has a team thing's get done..But,I can say the biggest thing is the company&it's employee's..We are treated like someone not a number&they don't breath down our neck's.Everyone does there job&it show's in those number's.Upper Management know's this&they preach if it wasn't because of our dedicated employee's this whould never happen. Also, the terminal&they employee's see the result's.Our Barn had the lowest in the company..All employee's&there spouse's will be treated to a Nice steak dinner next month. When you treat your employee's like family it alway's return's to the company..Thank's Od&all a great employee's that make this happen.

I read something on a report that it was 87.3 on Operating Cost? I am on vacation when I get back from vacation, I am going post that to that site.

All of the above reasons help keep the OR low but one of the biggest reasons is OD knows how much it really costs to Pick Up,Haul, and Deliver each individual shippers freight,We're by far the industry pacesetter in operational technology we've had tools such as Handheld P/D units,On board computers,DYMS,Gate scanners, etc.long before the rest of the other LTL's or if they do have these tools they dont use them to their full potential, also figuring things like each customers claim ratio, time spent on P&D,freight density,OD can custom tailor freight rates at realistically profitable levels,as far as I know frieght rates at many of our competetors are just what used to be called in the Air Force WAG's(wildassed guesses)

They don't pay time and a half in a heavy overtime industry.

I don't see anyone leaving here to go other places. But do talk to the new guys thAt have come from the competition. Very fortunate what I have. The run I like and fits my schedule the new equipment we have and all the higher ups that keep the freight coming and me moving. Thanks to all!!

Same here..I will work my 50 a week & not worry about OT just to have the working enviroment that I do & don't have to listen to a bunch of crap..The OD forum speak's for itself on how our employee's are treated&we don't need a third party to take care of our problem's.
