    New International Complaints

Would it do any good to start a thread to post complaints and come up with similar problems to report? I know we have a problem with the drafty drivers door(-25 degree wind in Wyoming blowing against your leg for ten hours), and also the emission lights, etc. Would it do any good, if not just to vent to other drivers on here?

This can be that thread. I only drove one once to pick up my tractor. I didn't mind it so much except for the seat, and that if you get above 65 down a hill and start to climb another it drops to about 62 or 63 before pulling again. I know the engine is a plumbing nightmare and a problem waiting to happen. When we got our first two in, they both spent a month or so at International to fix a fault code b/c International couldn't get all the parts. I cannot remember what the code was though. A Volvo with a Cummins, KW with the PACAR engine, or Freightliner with a Detroit would have been a much better choice for fuel milage and easier to work on.

That's the good part of the 3 way lumbar. I spent a few miles adjusting it to where it felt like the seat back was leaned further. When I dropped that one off and got in my 05 it felt like I was sitting in the back seat of an extended cab while driving. Not sure why, but it seems my seat is positioned further away from the dash, and seat leans back a whole lot further that any other truck I've driven. That's one reason why even though I'm suppose to be driving a newer truck, I have been in this one for years even though it's now listed as a spare.

Been a little bit since I started the post, a quick update.
Truck had fuel shooting from top of fuel pump, stranded me in the middle of Wyoming. Had to get it towed 300 miles, and have them bring me another truck. Along with the "engine" light constantly on, air blowing in from the door, stupid noises every time it sees a line in the road, and uncomfortable as hell seat, I am longing for the days of an '07 or '08 Volvo. Plus, when you do send them to the dealer for the "warranty" work, you lose your truck for two or three weeks......seems that they don't have any spare parts, they're all being used to build new ones.
Let's wait until 500,000 miles and watch these trucks fall apart....did I mention they are all plastic?

I know at my work the Internationals seem to have more issues with them than any others, the Volvo seems to be the way to go with these new emision trucks
