    The angle he had, when the arguing started he should have asked the home plate umpire for help. Too much pride, refusing to admit their mistake with these umps.

    I agree the home plate umpire had a good view. Possibly the 3rd base ump as well.

    You're exactly right Roadrunner. It was a poor angle, but it's his job to have himself in proper position to make an accurate call.

    The MLB umpires get so much training. They know the positions they need to be in to make the call. However, crap happens. He knew he was out of position. That's why asking for help should be put on these guys. If the call is so obviously wrong, and no help asked for, some sort of disciplinary action should be taken by the league. If an ump gets so many blown calls with no appeal for help, well back to the minors you go.
