As far as a list of chores, my wife and I have mutual respect for one another, so we don't have lists for each other. We each pitch in to make things work. I feel sorry for guys who who aren't equal partners with their wives.
No one is dicounting your life and your good fortune. If you are feeling guilty I am sorry. Maybe you should not make misleading comments regarding dues. We all pay them in one form or another. Some of us get more bang for the buck. You pay for your healthcare. You pay into your pension and you have NO greivance procedure other than what your company allows you to have. You are at will....the companies will.

No guilt here. And no we don't all pay dues in one way or another. Saying that we do is what is misleading.

What you don't seem to get is that I like it the non-union way. I don't need all these protections that you seem to need. You need a union security blanket to sleep at night. I do not.

Speaking of sleep. I worked 12 hours today and will proudly get up and do it again tomorrow. Nighty night....me and my security blanket.

I'm sure it is a warm blanket given all the dues you've paid.

I can't figure out if user name jdk_1600's posts are just 1 big prank or is this guy really Ward Cleaver?

I don't want to get into any FedEx bashing, but from what I hear on the street there are a lot of unhappy FedEx drivers that are not working in Ward's perfect little world.

I would say there's alot of drivers that are unhappy now working or not working, and you can just pick any company you want.

I second that! Not just the drivers for Fedex, the dock workers are unhappy too!

No. But I have worked side-by-side with employees in state government who were union members. To clarify, I was in the non-civil service management appointed by the governor.

The reason I chose that route was because my political activities were not restricted like those in the civil service. Also, my pay and benefits were much better as they were not hamstrung by the compensation laws governing state employees.

Civil service is great if you just want to go to work for 30 years and retire.

Thats all you can tell us? We are just supposed to take your word? No job title, description, years you worked there? And now you want to drive a truck. Unbelievable.
