Well the time has come to say it like it is. When I first came to this site I was sometimes border line breaking the rules at best. Jeff ask that I remember the rules and that was that. I posted more at TOL and I can now see that was a mistake. Jimmy has fixed the controls so as to not allow me access to his site. Now what kind of person would not allow a man to enter his site but yet he does not show me as being banned. That alone is a BACK STABBING MATTER. He even has a thread downing Jeff. I have never been mistreated on this site. I have had many heated debates with my fellow drivers and I have learned a few things and I would hope I have helped a few others. No I was wrong for trusting Jimmy. I would hope if someone from his site that might see this thread will tell him to be a man and show me as BANNED. After all he banned me. He should be enough of a man as too post it.I can not believe he thinks his site can not grow without me. JIMMY LET MY PEOPLE GO! Tell them the truth. IF YOU ARE MAN ENOUGH! Again Jeff THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING. IF YOU EVER NEED ME JUST CALL! YOUR GRATEFUL BROTHER ALWAYS!

Muler, that's what happened the first time to me over there. Most members thought I was full of it. But I stand by my story.

I went to log on, and nothing. After awhile, yes I did start another account, with a new username. And then I was able to log on. And the first thing I did was send a PM directly to the Mods over there. Saying who I was, and what was happening. I really thought it was just a glitch.

And then Boom! I was banned for starting a second account. So after that I was pissed. So yes I kept starting new accounts just to bug them.

But the final straw was after Jimmy allowed me back this last time. You saw me there. All was fine. Having some good debates and such. But I was repeatedly getting warnings for personal attacks, but everyone else there could attack me all they wanted. So, ya I blew up, and went out in style, and gave them a real good reason to ban me.

Now, Jeff and another Mod here has banned me as well. But I deserved it. I broke the rules, thinking Jeff was being unfair. He wasn't. He just wants everyone to follow the rules. He doesn't care what your point of view is.

Not to long ago, when Jeff switched formats, I was having trouble logging on. So ya, I started a second account. And PMd Jeff directly and was honest, and explained my problem. Did Jeff ban me? NOPE!! He fixed my issue.

Jeff runs a great site here. I still get warnings from him. And if I have a problem with Jeff and policies, I will PM him, express my displeasures with him. But it's in private, and I don't dis him in the public forums. In the end, all is cool.

Just follow the rules, and show respect, and Jeff will do the same. He doesn't abuse his power.

Ok, I'll step down off that soap box now. But to Jeff, R-14, and Shadow, thank you for running a great site fairly.

It was a live and learn experience. He calls himself a Teamster and this the **** site. Lets see Jeff has not to my knowledge called him anything. If I had to boost posting by starting a thread to down another site owner I would place an add for some good posters to come to my site. Just look at some of the exchanges we have had. Over there one of us would be gone.(HUMM BOTH OF US ARE GONE) There are some good people over there but I am sorry to say Jimmy is not one of them. So I am glad Jeff allows me to post here and I hope for many more great debates on this site. PS Jimmy when you BAN SOMEONE AT LEAST POST IT!

I put myself into "Self Exile" from there. We can debate the benefits of being a proud Teamster without personal attacks on the person who disagrees with us. This was happening too much over there. When we try to demonize an opponent it usually means we are out of arguments for our cause. We should never be out of arguments because we are standing for the workers. We are working to protect the ability of a man to give an honest days work for good pay. We fight to protect his right to seniority, benefits and a respectable retirement. But no one can be forced into a Union with threats and intimidation. The Union is useless if its members are not willing to stand up proudly for what they believe in. The Union is weakened when we openly threaten and and criticize each other. We have to respect the opinion of those who disagree with being Union. We don't have to agree, we can try to convince them why we are right, but their opinion is their opinion, it deserves respect.

I am not going to stand here and criticize brothers on another board. I pulled out and moved on, but I have had many good debates over there and there are many fine people on other sites. They are free to go what ever direction they wish, and so am I.

Let's stand proud, and tell the benefits of belonging to the Teamsters so more join us and we grow stronger.

I am far from perfect here and have made mistakes myself many many times, I have been wrong to some people, banned people and made enemies that I shouldn't have. I have seriously tried the past year or so to be tolerant. I have found out long ago that people will go where they are treated the best, although some people don't like Truckingboards because a Non-Union guy owns it and that's the only reason, so if someone is that shallow minded to not use this resource then that's their choice. I considered Jimmy as a friend once but the best way to describe Jimmy is a user of people. When you are on the top, you are a target, Truckingboards has stood the test of time and keeps growing. I am not without 100% fault, I have done some things I am not proud of myself and have lost members for life as a result but as I said before, I am really trying to treat people good here now and I quit wearing this website on my sleeve, my attitude is, if you want to be here we welcome you, if we aren't a mans cup of tea, that's fine too.

I get constantly accused from that site for "reading PM messages" First off you have to have a special script installed on this server to do so, I do not have that script installed, I installed that script once because some of my own (ex) mods led by Jimmy were recruiting members for his own website.

The script worked in a way like a search engine, all you do is put a search string in say the name of his website and up popped hundreds of messages where he was recruiting members for his website. I banned Jimmy and a couple of mods quit as a result, so that episode is what started the whole lie of I read PM's.... No I don't read PM's but if I know Jimmy and the way he is, I would bet a hundred bucks today he does on a regular basis.

First and foremost a person should NEVER send any sensitive info by PM, if my server is attacked or h@cked and the database is stolen, anyone could create a Vbulletin and do anything they wanted with any info in that database. Send a PM to someone and your email address to send sensitive info.

Some don't like me because of my politics which is dumb because even though I don't like peoples views, I never ban them or not allow them to post their views. I like to give people the freedom to speak their mind, I don't force people to think like me, Truckingboards does not tow the line for or against the Union, if you love it, you are welcome here if you don't you are welcome here too. We don't paint ourselves in a corner with trying to be labeled one way or the other. There are a couple of websites that I don't allow the url to be posted here, and that is because those sites trash us and I am not helping anyone that trashes this website. I will help anyone that is Truckingboards friendly, if you are not, then I am not going to be friendly either. I don't waste my time worrying about what other sites do and as I said before, when you are #1 there will always be people wanting what you have but it takes more than a few hundred dollar script and the ability to operate a large forum. I won't tell you guys where to and where not to go because his actions speak for themselves and as I said before, the users will go where they want to be and where they are treated the best and I think Truckingboards is that place.

Theres a common denominator in every case where someone accuses me of something when it comes to Truckingboards... They were previously outed for their actions here.
One Ex member went as far to claim that I give usernames and emails to peoples employers, it's really sad when people will stoop to this level to try to get back at you. I have never hid my identity, I have never been harassed a single time by the company I work for in regards to this site, I have over the last 10+ years been asked maybe 5 times for info on people and I told every single one the same thing, Truckingboards does not release information about it's users without a court order to do so... And I never have.

People on the internet or this site think of me differently than what I am, I am a LTL truck driver just like everyone here just doing a little side gig trying to make a couple bucks here and there to supplement my income. I am no different than anyone here.

Some people mow yards for extra $$ Some people landscape, I sell advertising. I have a great staff and we constantly communicate with each other and work out problem users problems behind the scenes, it's a group effort. I am constantly trying to find ways to make this site easier and faster for users, I pay for twice the server we need to provide as much of a hassle free website as I can and I cannot rest when something breaks until it's fixed.

There is so much hate out there though, it's really sad, I have had people sign up, do things they know would get them banned from here and then start their website on the whole theme of hating this website.

It's a sad world and and if you let yourself get caught up in it, you fail. Do your thing, make friends along the way and try to please the majority, other than that, it's out of my hands.

One last point...

If I was as big of an @sshole as some of these hating sites claim do you think I could fool all the members here? Do you think I could fool my staff and do you think they would want to be associated with this website or me? I am on the same level as everyone here, if I take a man to the side and send him a PM to knock it off or something similar, I do it because the rules we have in place make the community better as a whole, Truckingboards is not about one person here it's about everyone working together sharing information people use to put food on their tables and provide for their family. We are not about hate, we try hard to retain members and not ban anyone and I have let far more people back in by just realizing what they did wrong and not doing it again, some of those members have become some of the best members here. Alot of people know me here personally and I will be the first to admit I am not the friendliest person in the world and I do not have a social personality... I don't hang with the guys, I prefer to be with my family. I carry a laptop with me 24/7 so I can fix this website when something breaks and I use vacation days to do nothing but work here on this forum. It's just like having another job.

So to all you who get caught up in rumors or heard something about me, ask me, send me a pm, I will be glad to tell you , don't rely on some website that claims I did this or that, they just want you to join their site and will do anything or tell any lie to get you to do so.

Let me explain one more thing while I got the soapbox out...

Everyone here knows I am a Conservative, some automatically assume that because I am a Conservative that I am automagically Anti-union.... This is another stupid statement... The only thing I hate about Unions is the politics, I do not hate the members of Unions, I do not hate the fact that Union members negotiate for pay and bennies, all Non-Union companies benefit from the pay they get because of the members of the Union, Do I agree with all of their stances? Nope, but I bet you don't either... Do you ever see me bash Unions or treat a Union person different than a Non Union person on this website? Nope... This website is for debate, this is not a site to play grab ass and agree with everything the next person says, that's boring. How are Union drivers going to increase membership on a site that only allows people who are already members and then blasts those who are not? If I was the type of person , I could get real personal and hurt some feelings but I am not that type of person because once you stab me in the back, I am done with you and you no longer matter to me.

In 1995 I had two choices to work for, I could have went to Holland or AF, I chose AF, so you all could just as easily be talking to a Union guy right now as a Non-Union guy.
