Are you trying to shake people out of the weeds with their stories of termination in order to frighten people into not getting involved with their right to organize Fed-Ex? Just asking. TE out....

With a move like this and the magnitude of people involved,it probably is good to hear the good, the bad,and ugly and let the workers make an educated vote, whatever their choice is, instead of one out of anger.Just saying.

Just tossing out some questions for the well seasoned members to answer.

If FedEx became union would they be forced into the Central States pension fund or would they have their own FedEx/Teamster fund like the UPS/Teamster Fund?
What are the benefits of having a contract?
What can they put into their contract that they do not already have?

I feel it's very critical that FedEx employees get the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.
It's obvious pay and benefits would be enhanced and that management and Teamsters can co-exist.

Bust the myths and produce the cold hard facts in organizing (Good and bad).
    Pick Your Poison!!

He sure had no problem pitching a ***** to the steward if things did not go his way. Wonder who he cries to now ?
I think the majority of workers at Fred-X are happy with what they do everyday and have good jobs. I think they could use a bit better benefit package ,the company can afford to do more for the front line employee's and their family's.
They certainly dont tell drivers who they can rub elbows with. Tell me,what is the Fedex benefit package like?

I will take a stab at your comments.
Fred-X is a thorn in their sides by the way they operate. It would also be a feather in Hoffa's hat if he pulled it off too.
Yes boosting the membership also gives the whole organization more leverage in contract talks. And a few more bucks in the kitty too.
If I was on the outside looking in ( Non) I would think more about what's good for my family and my future rather than Good old Fred. I guess this would go also for any non out their too
Your going to have unsafe equipment no matter where you go, no company is perfect.
How about OT after 8 instead of 40 ? Work you like a dog all week and send you home early so they do not have to pay OT. What about the barns that are out their that make the employees come in at 5 Am and have free coffee and donuts off the clock until the freight shows up ? North Park does this on a daily basis which by the way Fred interlines Wyoming freight with, along with everybody else but OD.
Last of all if all you non's would sign up before the election I am sure we could use your votes to do some house cleaning. That is much needed my opinion !

We do get OT after 8.If people are sitting for free waiting on freight then that needs addressed, thats not a company policy. I would say that my families future is more secure at Fedex then any of the LTL companies that are already union. By the way, with the exception of theft or violence it is very hard to get fired at FXF. When it comes down to it my real problem is with the unions politics.

Not to get off topic. But as far as "success" at organizing, it's not going to happen. I work in tank haul and the IBT has still failed to organize the members at Kag West. Those talks have ground to a halt, KAG is firing drivers and bringing in lease operators to haul the fuel and the IBT is not doing squat. This is all "election year-I'm right down there with ya boys-hype". If fat boy is re-elected again, all this will blow away like the hot air that spews from Hoffa's mouth. Fed Ex ? Yeah right...He had to give away the store and climb in bed with Big Brown to get Overnite/UPS Freight "organized"....And their contract is not the greatest by far.
