Your leftist/pro socialist masters new EPA regs will be shutting it down. 17 full timers with paid major familly medical and retirement will be out of work. Yes, Cab Lizzard, your supported politico's are doing a bang up job.

Hit a nerve, did I? I left the organization that sold these part timers out, while still getting their cut. I refused to be part of a group who's leadership is a lap dog for the politico's who support this agenda. It was YOUR choice to defend this action, not mine.

It's okay Stark, just hit me wrong why anyone could excuse the sell out of part timers like that, while putting down people who try to be independant. Hope you wore sun screen while wearing your speedo. LOL, I'd scare small children and animals.

Rock quarry side of family operation pays part time end dump drivers starting at $17.00 + $15 cash lunch allowance if over 6 hrs runnning. 8 Regular drivers usually have 55 to 60 hrs in 5 days. All full timers, except 1 have been there 20+ years, she has been there 7yrs. Sat. is optional, part timers are used Sat. and Sun. runs during big contracts. Some also a few hrs in the evenings during summer. This in rural, right to work state, where cost of living is at least 30% cheaper than union controled regions.
Am I missing something here? What has any of that got to do with a Teamster's pension question? Your family may treat their part timers well but do they provide them with a pension?

I'm a new member and should probably not question a senior member's post but I don't understand why it would be posted on this thread.

    Thanks for the words Loon!
Hope your vacation was warm and the beer was cold ! How about them TIGERS !!!!!!!!!!

Did not want to ruffle the feathers of the young lad here either.
Yes sell out on part timers, tiered pay rates, sub service all things that I have personally dealt with.
I also got to vote on them but majority rules and I lost. So I suck it up and move forward.
No I do not like what I see with our Teamster leadership or our elected officials. I am NOT TDU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Proud to say I voted for all the crooks over the years. They did a fine job and enjoy my pension check each month ,from a fund that is well managed. How ever being retired I did not get to vote in this last election but if I did I would have voted for Sandy Pope.
I am a old school Teamster that just has a hard time figuring out why anyone would want to work for less, putting their employer before the welfare of their family,s.
I believe many of the good people go to work each day and do their best to help do their share and make a difference, only to be thrown under the bus by a company run by numbers and goals.
Work safe and smart and take no chances with your health or body !! With out them you have no value to the company that pay's you !

No they don't, and they don't STEAL from their paycheck for a pension they'll never be allowed benefits. while union gets it's cut. Don't worry about being a new member. If you noticed the original post. Why is this person having to pay into a pension he is not allowed to be part of? Then later on stated he should be grateful for the $11 starting wage and the $16 he gets after 12 years time in. Not the company hosing this fellow.

WE do get off subject from time to time here. I don,t know of any seniority roster here on these boards so let it out. Most people here I have found are not of thin skin

Glad your pension is fine, really do. My father and uncle questioned the leadership in the late 70's about it's pension books. Same exact reason Bobby and JFK took on Hoffa Sr over the pension plan early 60's. Got threats and vandalism, only stopped when 00buck tore up the goons pickups. They were CFer's, uncle made last run into his barn, so you can remember how well that turned out. I tried teamsters for 2 years in early 90's, told I was going to do VOLUNTEER political work for a leftist scumbag, quietly requested not to, told it was for my own good. So, guess money is not everything, never understood those who put it 1st, yet that is understood. (Aaron Tippin has a corny song about that) Why we have the government we got now.

No excuse.. but violence is the way many react to people that do not see things the way they do. Many of the old guys that taught me the ropes had a hit first and ask question later attitude. I don't roll that way.

I was never told what to do by any union official, but I did see what happened to people who voiced their opinion that was different.
This later would play out with my employer. I had a "Target " on my back.
