You want to sit on $200 a week strike pay just because you think you can hurt the company? You may not have a company to come back to.
    You get more than Holland?Really??

if you have some time in from a certain company vitran purchased, you can hourly rate wise. with the concessions the union employees have been taking it's not the dream job it once was. i remember years ago the union drivers would gather around each other and talk about their harleys and boats they just got, now they gather around and talk about the losses, hardtimes and divorces.

With some of you getting OT cut and days off, I hope you remember that when you talk about voting for the union, instead of your whole terminal being cut to 36 or 32 hours till things get turned around, two thirds will get 40 to 45, and one third will be laid off due to seniority rules, remember those union rules work for and against you boys (and girls) he (or she) with the most years wins, those that don't will get an unemployment check. Is keeping your insurance with reduced hours better than $200 a week and nothing to look forward too? Even my TM agrees with me, it will be the end of the year before we really see tangible results, but revenue gains have already happened, namely getting rid of useless line haul runs, most of ours now goes to a metro terminal for consolidation, the way it should have been all along. Picture half or less trailer from OKC to Houston, half or less trailer from Dallas to Houston. Now who in their right mind would run that if it was your bottom line? Yes, sometimes it will not always fit, but we are talking multiple loads with multiple scenarios here, and some are telling me a trailer with 20k out of 40k is full? Only if it is all the way to ceiling from front to back. It is about time someone said enough is enough.
