He was still in Illinois at the time... Had no real overall say in the matter.... As for intel all agencies at the time had that he did, including many European countries. People seem to forget that he used some of it against the Kurds in the North just after the first Gulf War. Also many suspect that it was shipped off to Syria, now how could they do that when we had the No Fly Zone right? Well How is it that we can have Illegals and Drugs cross our own boarders on a daily basis. How is it that when you have trade between two nations going on that you really do not have a full account of what is being shipped in trucks on a daily basis. Look at our own interstates and tell me exactly what that truck rolling down the highway next to you is hauling.

Why is it that it was such an important reason for humanitarian reasons that we went into Libya when the same thing is occurring right now that they used as a basis in Syria? Afraid we might find something? Or is it that Syria has little to none Oil reserves?

The UN was involved in liberating Kuwait. The UN is in all those wonderful African holes that has nothing to offer the outside world.

Regardless, Saddam could come to your house and tell you himself that he had WMD's, you would still blame Bush and say he lied:

PJ Media » Satellite Photos Support Testimony That Iraqi WMD Went to Syria

Ha’aretz has revived the mystery surrounding the inability to find weapons of mass destruction stockpiles in Iraq, the most commonly cited justification for Operation Iraqi Freedom and one of the most embarrassing episodes for the United States. Satellite photos of a suspicious site in Syria are providing new support for the reporting of a Syrian journalist who briefly rocked the world with his reporting that Iraq’s WMD had been sent to three sites in Syria just before the invasion commenced.

The newspaper reveals that a 200 square-kilometer area in northwestern Syria has been photographed by satellites at the request of a Western intelligence agency at least 16 times, the most recent being taken in January. The site is near Masyaf, and it has at least five installations and hidden paths leading underneath the mountains. This supports the reporting of Nizar Nayouf, an award-winning Syrian journalist who said in 2004 that his sources confirmed that Saddam Hussein’s WMDs were in Syria.

One of the three specific sites he mentioned was an underground base underneath Al-Baida, which is one kilometer south of Masyaf. This is a perfect match. The suspicious features in the photos and the fact that a Western intelligence agency is so interested in the site support Nayouf’s reporting, showing that his sources in Syria did indeed have access to specific information about secret activity that is likely WMD-related. Richard Radcliffe, one of my co-writers at WorldThreats.com, noticed that Masyaf is located on a road that goes from Hamah, where there is an airfield sufficient to handle relatively large aircraft, into Lebanon and the western side of the Bekaa Valley, another location said to house Iraqi weapons.

General Georges Sada, the former second-in-command of the Iraqi Air Force, claimed in his 2006 book that he knew two Iraqi pilots that flew WMD into Syria over the summer of 2002, which came before a later shipment on the ground. I asked Duelfer if Nizar Nayouf or the two Iraqi pilots were spoken with.
The Iraq – Russia – Syria WMD Conspiracy « Heaven Awaits

There really were WMDs in Iraq, which justified the Iraq war. They were secretly moved right before the Iraq war started. An unholy triangle existed between Iraq’s Sadaam, Russia, and Syria.

The Democrats knew this, and slandered Bush for political gain, and destroyed US reputation around the world. So, who are the Democrats really working for – the USA or terrorists – or just themselves?

Reports available from Syrians and Iraqis themselves. (Read whatever selections you wish – all or some):

Sure I believe oil was part of it. But not to get the oil for our profit. But to keep a madman from controlling a huge supply of oil. Having Saddam on control of so much oil would have been extremely dangerous for us. It was about national security.

You have to remember,Saddam was a pain in the ass to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and yes Iran...If the U.S went for oil, wouldn't it make sense that we bring some back...I don't think it was over oil at all...I think it turned person, with Bush...Yea,they want ed to slap his hand a bit over oil,but that wasn't the main cause for invasion...Now,ya got Iran threatening to close off the Straits...Again,that will piss Saudi Arabia off,if they can't move the oil...Will we be over there again? Troop build up in Afghanistan,IMO, is not just for the strength of insurgents... So the troops that Barry brought home, are going back,to fight a different war...Or is it...
