Since our fettered government is constantly suckling the teet of big oil, well 'nuff said.

The e. p. a. has as much to do with environmental protection as f.e.m.a. has to do with emergency awareness and assistance.
O really then how come you got the CEO of gm asking for higher gas prices. Let's see some links where oil companies don't want these efficient cars.

Every Sunday night I park in Salina, KS. For two months now the Flying J has had a huge hole in the ground, blocking off 1/3rd of their truck parking. Tonight I finally see the sign of what will be when they are done- Natural Gas for Vehicles. Large enough fueling stalls for Big trucks. T Boone Pickens must be right, huh? I wasn't aware of large fleets of natural gas cars or trucks enough to build the station??? I know Vectern Gas in Indy has a fleet of them in Ford Focuses for meter-reading; during the price hike of Katrina I called them to ask about the change-over since I had a Focus at the time. They told me 'over $20,000 per car' to convert. Obviously, I kept running mine on gasoline.....

CEO confirms Chevy to sell diesel Cruze in U.S. - USATODAY.com

Chevrolet plans to introduce the Cruze Diesel in the USA in 2013. Followed soon after by the CNG (compressed Natural Gas). Amazing what our Tax Dollars can do. They've been funding Diesel Aveos (called the Beat) in India....the big selling point (to Indians) is that it's 95% made in India.....

GM to introduce diesel variant of Chevrolet Beat by June 2011
