Sen Murray- Dems Will Let Tax Cuts Expire

Dems would let tax cuts expire to test Republicans, Sen. Murray says | Local News | The Seattle Times

WASHINGTON — Sen. Patty Murray said Monday that Democrats would let Bush-era tax cuts expire for all Americans rather than renew them for higher-income families, echoing a new get-tough stance adopted by her party leaders.
Nice, I would like to see how the "middle class" would enjoy a 50% tax increase brought to them by the Dems

In a speech at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., Murray tried to box in the Republicans to reveal just how hard they would fight to preserve lower taxes on the wealthy. The Democrats, she said, would go as far as to let the tax cuts lapse entirely Dec. 31 rather than give another break to the top 2 percent of earners.
the last sentence is the lie. What break?
Bush decreased the tax rates for all Americans that paid taxes. The rates are set, the rates are due to expire on Dec 31, there is nothing new here. If the Dems dont change the date, they will be responsible for the largest tax increase in American history. The will have taken the lowered rates and increased them on tp of all coming additional tax increases thanks to BarryCare.

Taxes are going up bubba, face fact like I have....Barry and R'Money are going to pattern their excuses, to Reagan's terminology....And say, if it worked for him,it will work for us...Wait and see...

It will dwindle the middle class to almost nothing, and the ones getting government crutch payments(that rely on the middle class),will blame it on Wall Street..

Obama really wants to finish off the economy with killer taxes but even the Senate Democrats won't let him do it.

Already, as many as six Democratic Senators are hedging their bets as the economy looks worse..So the 2013 tax cliff is a big enough economic problem that President Obama now wants to postpone it for some taxpayers. But it isn't so big that he's willing to curb his desire to raise taxes on tens of thousands of job-creating businesses. aka millionaires.

But Mr. Obama is demanding tax increases, not tax cuts, and large increases at that. If the Bush tax rates expire as scheduled on December 31, rates on the top two income brackets will jump to 39.6% from 35%, and 36% from 33%. Add the scheduled return of income phaseouts for exemptions and deductions, and the rates go up another two-percentage points—to at least 41% and 35%.

From what I hear, those tax increases on the rich will last 4-7 days of spending...so what's the point?

It's not the rich that concerns me, it's the $4500 to $6800 a year they are going to levee on the middle class, come January 1....The average tax payer is barely making it now,and with the deductions being taken away next year, it's going to look worse for us...

Dont worry, Barry will institute a new program during his next term that will grant tax assistance to illegal and minorities so their burden will not be as much. After all the "millionaires and billionaires" who make over $250,000 should pay. After all they did not do it on their own. They owe it to a teacher or a road for their success.
