Obama and Romney Do Not Change Course Over Outcry on Gun Violence

President Obama and his challenger, Mitt Romney, echoed each other in embracing the role of national grief counselor in the wake of the deadly rampage in Colorado last week, offering stirring words of condolence and comfort.
But neither has responded to calls for a renewed debate over how to prevent gun violence. Asked on Sunday whether Mr. Obama favored new gun control initiatives, his spokesman, Jay Carney, twice said the main focus of the president — who four years ago called for an assault-weapons ban — was to “protect Second Amendment rights.”

Seems to me like a lot of the places with the most gun control seem to have the most gun violence.

Lots of people seem to be getting shot in Chicago each and every weekend.
Seems to me that if what you have is not working, you change course.

    Even Ice-T gets it:

Bloomberg was on the englishmans (piers morgan) show discussing this. He is the co-founder of "mayors against illegal guns", now...i don't know about you but, that's one of the most ********(mentally handicapped) things I've ever heard...lol...Is there a "Mayors against illegal murder" "mayors against illegal speeding"??
He was saying he thinks cops should strike until people vote in legislatures to combat "illegal guns", which is funny too, because what better time for criminals with "illegal guns" to rob and shoot anyone they please..LMAO. IMO if you wanna combat criminals with "illegal guns" speed up the process for law abiding citizens to carry legal guns and do away with these stupid gun free zones, give people a fighting chance against these criminals

Gun sales spike after Co shooting, it's too bad it takes these type of things to wise people up about the evil in the world that they need to protect themselves against.

Gun sales spike in Colorado after shooting, just like they did in Arizona | The Lookout - Yahoo! News
