Sheriff's deputies in Texas won't file charges against a father who they say beat an acquaintance to death after allegedly catching him sexually abusing the man's 4-year-old daughter.

I would be thinking the same thing, but you also have to think about the consequences for killing a person and how your daughter and family would now be at a loss if you were imprisoned for manslaughter. You would have to show so much restraint from unleashing the emotional anger.

Catching a guy molesting your daughter would basically be temporary insanity...animal instinct is to protect with lethal force..NO thinking involved

This guy did what he had to do, there is no excuse, and if the law would let people protect their own maybe it would put an end to all of this bs.. He did everyone a favor the way I see it,, he seen the problem and got rid of it,, hadnt he done what he did the fool who molested the little girl would spend a little time in a country club and be out in few years, labeled and would do it again.. I applaud the father of this little girl..

I'm not trying to stir the pot or anger anyone.

I totally agree that's how my reaction would be. I would be so consumed in anger that I would not be able to think rationally and end up possibly killing the person like he did.

Say you did kill the perp and he can no longer go through the criminal justice system. You are now on trial for manslaughter and facing years in prison, up to life. You are now convicted and have to spend years/life in prison. Your daughter is still emotionally traumatized and she needs you to be by her side to get through this. Your wife, other kids need you. You cannot help.
You need a seasoned attorney to get you out of this charge or you face financial, family and mental turmoil.

This may sound sick but, our daughter has already been molested and she needs family help to get through this. Is it worth it to kill someone in the heat of the moment and unknowingly risk more damage or give the perp a good beat down and let the police handle the rest?

I can honestly say, this is a tough decision to make because I haven't been tested and do not want to be tested.

I support the dad, and if he goes to trial it needs to be a jury trial and he WILL got off.
