    Diverting freight

As the tumbleweed blows across the yard in LCP, our drivers are running empties into MBK and bobtailing home. I just got called for either a WLM/LCP or a MBK out of RAN....glad I have 20 weeks of unenjoyment left.

Makes ya wonder how much freight is being picked up at the satellites/customer and run to the West Coast without ever seeing LCP or CVE. Economic slowdown or reality of what I warned would happen 4/1/08? You decide. I haven't seen any thru rail freight anytime I've worked since the first, however, I can count the home terminal trips I did get, on my fingers.

I don't think it's just in LCP or CVE. THe past week and a half it has been dead at CGB as well.

Sorry I missed you guys in the post. The drop in freight would affect you also. Not much relaying in or out for rail.

    Rail Freight

Rail yard pretty slim as of late.
Maybe 6 trailers a day if lucky. Down from 30-50 a day a year ago.

I went from being forced into teams and having only one 0 in three weeks to sitting for four days now. I dropped an app at US Steel friday and if I get a job offer I'll quit Yellow on the spot. I don't know if that's anymore stable but the website said to be willing to work a minimum of 40 hours a week annd at least I won't be waiting for the frickin phone to ring at all hours of the day and night
