D@@@@@ this getting good. Need more popcorn
I've been clinging to the side of the lifeboat like the rest of the peasants. The wealthy said that a rising tide raises all ships but what they didn't tell you is you'll never get on board, they'll let you cling to the sides of the boat but as soon as the waters get a little choppy they start wacking your fingers with the oars. Henry Ford wanted to pay his employees enough so they could afford to buy his cars, that kind of thinking is missing today.
I agree somewhat with what you say, but don't you really admit we live much better and can afford more "toys" than the workers did back in Henry Ford's day?
I absolutely believe that top level compensation (CEO, etc.) should be tied to performance in some way since the ratio of CEO pay to average worker pay has gone up dramatically in recent years.
The new management should be ashamed of himself,as bigtrukus would say he is the saviour of YRC,collecting a big check and slashing job's right out of the gate
Youse guy's are so lucky to have him.
He is no better than the guy before him,and he never owned DYNAMEX,just collected a check there too.
And what a waste of money rebranding those trailer's them decal's probably cost 3000.00 a unit.
Can't wait for my 10 year recall, boy I want to come back and work with a bunch of senile, ready to kick the bucket freight god's,guess i better learn CPR first,I might have to save someone!!!!!!!!!!
Now that I agree with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is just my experience but when a company takes something away, they usually never give it back. Union or not. Anybody remember CF? I used to work there. After that a small non union company and that went bad. They paid good and had great equipment. Then bam, they subed everything out to owner operators. What about what UPS did to Overnight? What about what FedEx did to Watkins. Ruined 2 great companies imo. YRC will always have a reason not to pay you what you were making, even when things turn around, if that happens. It's just the cost of doing business, hey nothing personal. It's an employers market right now, so what they say goes or you get to hit the road. I hope I'm wrong guys and I really hope it turns around for all ya. Let's face it, trucking has continuously gotten worse every year, even when the country was in good shape. More restrictions every year, it is becoming a joke! We will be lucky to make a decent wage at all soon.
