none. The 10 year would only effect vacations and such
Hello to all, newly registered member here. Question, if a YRC road driver under Central states rules has 10 yrs. Co. seniority and, 5 yrs. terminal seniority, which seniority would be used, or valid on a change of OPS into the southern conference? I'm hoping to receive fact based response's and please, no club house nonsense.
none. The 10 year would only effect vacations and such
if dovetailing into another road board company seniority will prevail terminal has no play
I disagree. Terminal seniority would have been garnered by a contractual switch from another area or a transfer done outside of a COO. OP would likely transfer with his current road seniority date. KK or R14 will be able to clarify if I am wrong.
I can tell you for a fact in my case it was the Current bidding Seniority that I had....Central States. If ya need the particulars PM me.
Oops forgot to quote the Original Post.
When you put yourself up for the change of ops they will have your seniority date right there . That's the date you will use at your new domicile for bidding from then on . I would say in your case the 5 years would end up being your seniority because you either change job class or something like that to have 10 years company but only 5 years terminal .

Thank you all for the response's. From the real- life experience's of a couple of driver's, it's starting to sound like Co. seniority would prevail, even though no actual contractual quote's or language has been used up to this point. Does anyone know of a conference whereby only Co. seniority prevails during a change of Ops?
