First off it was a vote.....probably by the same men that were losing the vacation....the lesser senority have been gone for some time now so I would wonder how many with less than 4 weeks actual got to vote?

Yea, you're right. We should have all voted "NO" and given them reason/excuse to shut the doors! But that would have showed them how tough we were! And just think about it, we all would the have had the very same seniority from then on - ZERO!!!

Hey Roady, you're #1 in my book!! (Of course my book isn't worth much)

PS - I passed by the old Hackensack terminal over the weekend. Haven't seen it in years. Wow, all the dock doors have been boarded up and it's been modernized as though it was used for some totally different business.

Triplex, you kind of have to wonder if this wasnt part of Million Zollars plan, buy up profitable competition, rack up a whole boatload of debt and then turn it all back on us.. If we vote no to all of his concessions then hes not only broke the union in trucking but has gotten it out of trucking all together.. I know theres still ABF, but if we were gone I highly doubt theyd stay in, and theyd probably put it to a vote and if it were shot down, then whose to say they wouldnt board up their terminals?? The problem here is a majority of the membership voted yes on these concessions and Million Zollars had to do something so he wouldnt look like the incompetent fool that he really is.. Do you really think 20 years ago in tough times any truckline wouldve voted yes to no pension payment?? I dont, but this is just my opinion

That little bet about buying good companies and then running them up with a boat load dept sounds something like Flip Romney did with GST Steel in KC . Could be Zollars is giving out tips to his wealthy friends . Only thing Romney structured that so it would collapse two years after he got out of the picture but he still collected from all the hardship it caused all those workers .
