How's your pension credits looking?
Slim66 and jimbobillybob; are the same person if you ask me; never a new thought on anything. Always the same old tired arguments.

You two have to realize that not many people think like you(thank god) When they get up in the morning they go to work hoping that it will be a good day, and a better day than yesterday. Along with the hope that; their employer will keep improving enough to prove you two(Doom and Gloomers) wrong.

I for one think they will, and you two will have to change your screen names just to hang-out here

P.S. I bet flowers wilt when you two look at them.

I don't see either one of you refuting what I said. I go to work every day and do my job as best as I can. Are things getting better after over 3 years of givebacks? The company is here but that's about it. Those are the facts and the reality. You need to take blinders off and see the whole world for a change.

if someone told you 3 years ago this would be going on, you would have told them they were crazy....so lets see what happens 3 years from now...(By the way, my pay is a public record, and approved by the members each year).....KK
Yes it is public record. So let me get this straight. You are allowed to take a LOA from YRC "freight" and get full pension credits as an employee of the local. But your members are no longer allowed to take off to get their time in at another employer? And you have the gall to tell people they have no right to complain? You don't work there. You didn't sacrifice. You will be able to retire when you planned to. I know we are "lucky to still have a job".

Excuse me for the bandwidth I am about to use.

At this point in my life, I will either piss you off, or educate you to the facts.

Which either applies, so be it.

First of all…. yes, I am on a LOA per Article 41 of the NMFA since 2007 with Yellow Freight.

As are other Locals, ours is signatory with CSPF. The Local pays 100% into the pension as required by the trustees of CSPF, just as any other employer that is obligated to do so if they are covered under CSPF.

YRCW is the company that was given the break due to financial hardship, not the Locals.

The Locals still have to pay 100% into the plans, or buy out their liabilities to the fund, and we all know that there not a Local in the country that can do that.

I do not get stock warrants under the YRCW restructuring, as the other employees that voted to allow it.

I also have to pay 6% of my gross wages into the Southern Pension plan each week as condition to employment in the Southern region as ALL staff who work for Locals in the Southern Region are mandated to do, or you cannot work at the Locals.

My Local is a UPS Local, which makes up 67% of the membership.

Freight is around 12%, 8 of that is YRC Freight., and the rest are ‘white paper contracts.”

I pay the UPS dues as members, which is around $76.00 per month, as my wages are based on the UPS contract wages, as you are required to pay the same dues as the highest members does in your Local, as the majority are UPS members.

The only full-time employees of a local are the clericals, who are under a separate union contract.

As I have always said, the Officers and BAs are only “3 year casuals” who must go through re-election every 3 years, (Mine is in the Fall of 2013 if it matters to you), so you see it DOES matter to me if YRCW stays in business, as I am on an Article 41 LOA, and subject to return to work every 3 years if the membership so mandates that in an election.

But most of all, I have dealt with trying to find work for members who lost their jobs over the last 3 years, and our Local has been able to help some, but not all.

That is why your BS does not have the same effect on here anymore, as the majority of those laid off the last 3 years have come back to work, and they are now in a hiring mode….it meant something to them to come back…..it is a shame it don’t mean S**T for those like you who got to stay and work while they were laid off.

So in closing…. bite my ass!…..KK

I am well aware of Art 41. My point was there USED to be a clause of the MOU that allowed us to do exactly what you are doing. Take a leave to persue other employment to complete our pension you say you are a UPS local. Another company that no longer contributes to the fund. I'm aware of the facts. I'm a steward, my father was a 33 year teamster and a BA, grandfather was a 34 year teamster and a trustee, great grandfather was a secretary treasurer and retired teamster. I dont need you to educate me.
Is the company being in hiring mode a good thing, absolutely. Does it forgive what this company has done to our contract, union, and pension. Not even close.
In closing I would ask the mods to put a ban on KK, as I know if I had responded like he did, I would be on a little layoff from TB.

Remember, other companies read your crap, not just us... Give them some more ammunition... just what we need... Who needs other companies saying stupid things about us, when we have enough people like you, in our own company.
Quite frankly, the equipment at our barn isn't bad at all, and we have very little "garbage" freight. In fact, business is picking up, with GOOD freight...

Then you should know that Article 41 and The YRCW LOA is 2 different things....why do you still want to rag on about it?

I have my own opinion like anyone else here does.....but to constantly ***** and moan and graon about something you have no control over, as THE MAJORITY of the employees voted yes for it, seems like a waste of time.

People here are fed up with your BS and complain to us all the time about it in PMs....we can all disagree without being diagreeable....but you do not speak for the majority on here....nor do I.

So I will say it one more time before I ban myself from the website for 3 days.....You can still bite my ass!!....KK

Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.
