If UPS outbids fed x for usps union work they will layoff. And then maybe the workers will understand what the unions are for.

Are you saying that a company should be forced to keep paying employees even when there is no business or revenue to support doing that? Just curious as to where that money should come from. For example, if you cancel your telephone service should you be forced to continue to pay for it anyway just to pay workers who are no longer needed? Do you think that maybe this kind of thinking might explain why unions have lost popularity over the years?

Funny how people read the same thing differently. I read it that if your an you might keep your job.....senority be damned.

Try as hard as I can I don't see that interpretation. ??? In fact, most of my comments were questions. Maybe we'll both know when(if) he answers.

And I am still waiting for someone to prove me wrong that the pilots are not union.... which is where most of the mail is being moved. I am not a Fedex lover eitherWAY... but I know for a fact they are union.... so the mail is moving on union planes.

In my opinion this contract will be awarded to the one who can get the best fuel prices lock in for the length of the contract.... because the pilots wages are very close in pay.
