Hard to say why this happened.
My guess is the union protects the very worst employees. The remainder see that and realize why should they work so hard when the bad employees are protected.
In other words why go out and do 20 stops when some bum does nothing and gets away with it. Sooner or later you stop working hard and some well run competitor kicks your a**
I don't think YRC is in that good shape.
They now have removed every top leader from all of the member companies. RDWY, NPME Holland. It is now run by all Yellow puppets.
Can you say JEVIC, Preston or Saia.
Yellow almost ruined all of those companies.
Even New Penn is not the same company, simply read the boards on this web site.
Having only 2 companies left is too much on the pension. They need to organize and seem unable to attract new companies.
