I had to look up the word extinct so that I was sure that I understand Puff Driver's post. Extinct- No longer in existence;that has ended or died out.

The major Teamster companys like YRC (Yellow- Roadway- Bestway- Holland & New Penn) ABF & UPS are still alive & doing well.

I have read on these Truckingboards that analysts predict that there are close to 15,000 potential new Teamsters to be organized at UPS - air freight & part timers. Approx. 20,000 potential new Teamsters at UPSF. thats not counting the potential for organizing any dis-satisfied workers at Fedex & Conway.

It appears to me as if the Teamsters are growing in the trucking business & not close to extinction as Puff Driver's post would have me believe.

I have to wonder if he has some facts to back up his post, or maybe it is just wishfull thinking.

Either way, as Bird-Dog said, God bless him.
