This question isn't for anyone in particular but 14wheeler said that GeTeRdOnE can't be in a union because he is in management, is this true? Why couldn't he be a union member? Aren't different levels of law enforcement unionized in some locations and even those that are in supervisory positions such as sargeants and such?
Thanks

mgr can not be represented by a union because it would be a conflict of interest.the unions are in place to see that a fair wage is being payed and senority is being followed. It is also there to make sure workers are treated equally by a company.a supervisor can not be treated like a driver because his job is to tell the driver what to do.the unions are also there to protect the workers from unfair labor practices brought on by the managers.a mgr also has interest in trying to push us to our limits and beyond because often times their bonuses depend on it and unions let them push us but not beyond our limits. The biggest reason would be because a mgrs primary job is to look out for the companys interests and not the employee.
