When I obtain my CDL-A from school (hope my security clearance isn't screwed up, don't know why it should be). Will my first jobs offerings be pretty much OTR?

I have a real belief I want to drive X endorsement vehicles. Will I need years of experience before being offered this kind of work and do tankers tend to run more regional.
