Why is Conway not a union? I have been working for them for almost 6 months now and I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want too have a union here? They have taken away the pension, sick days and the raise was weak. When I was being interviewed they bragged about being the most profitable LTL company, I guess it's all about conway and not about the employees. I'll tell you one thing, I won't quit for at least 1 more year because I don't think job swapping is good for the resume but my next stop will be my last one and that's going to be a union carrier either Yellow, New Penn or UPS. At least you have a nice 401k plus a PENSION. Everyone say's the pension might not be there when I retire, but it's there now and I would rather have both now than just the 401k plan at conway. My social security might not be there either but at least I might have it. With conway they seem to take away and want, want, want without giving anything.
