Default New Pkg Hndlr---Lots of Questions

Hi guys~
My name is Katie and I'm scheduled for my 2nd interview for a pkg handler...at my first interview the girl told me I could sign up right away to be a cover driver, or take out a xmas route. I have my CDLA permit and DOT physical. For Pkg Car she said I only need DOT phys and her boss takes me into the prkg lot for a road test...so the pkg cars aren't cdls? I have driven 20' box trucks, a Ford F450 w/a39' trailer and whatever else i was givent he keys to fromdowntown manhattan to laronge sk with no accidents or violations...I've parellel parked the big stuff in Manhattan, so I'm thinking i shouldn't have a problem. I'm assuming the trucks are automatic? I also drive a 3/4 p/u with a dump trailer and can park that anywhere---even at my current office parking lotback into a corner spot (where i would normally park my Jetta!), and never come close to touching anyone else...I can put anything short of a semi in your back pocket...
Other than the honk when backing anything else I should know?
My full time gig is up 11/1 (I can't sit at a desk anymore!!!) So I'll get into they system at least probably the 1st week in August...and have 3 months under my belt before peak--and just when I'll be available to go 24/7...
From what I gathered if they call me I go...no whining...no ifs/ands/or buts...jsut go...and stay on the top of that list right?
Any pointers/advice/know-how would be greatly appreciated...I'm not affraid to work hard...
thanks
katie
