Wal-Mart trucks full of much-needed supplies requested by the Salvation Army have arrived in New York City to assist the organization in relief efforts.
Four trailers full of medical supplies, clothing, blankets and more are stationed near the Salvation Army’s facilities at 14th St. and 7th Ave. Two truckloads of water, and another truck full of heavy-duty flashlights, ventilator masks and large adjustable wrenches will arrive soon.
Merchandise that has arrived includes: one trailer full of blankets and rubber gloves; 340 cases of work boots; 3,000 pillows; 2,000 air mattresses; 2,000 bottles of alcohol and 2,000 bottles of hydrogen peroxide; 1,200 cases of alcohol wipes; 5,000 cases of eye drops; 1,000 cases of 55-gallon trash bags and 1,000 cases of 42-gallon trash bags; and 200 trash cans.
