i just went through the most unbelievable experience in my trucking carreer..i just quit my job to go drive for u.s express on the dollar general account..i figured that since i live close to the distribution center..i would get home often...so after u s xpres reviewed my mvr and dac and my application..they told me everything look good..well like a fool i quit my job and drove my car to medway ohio..bout 130 miles from where i live..i was told i could be reimbursed for gas on my first paycheck..so i figured it would be ok...so i get to this orientation on monday morning..i sit through this boring class all day..pass the physical and drug screen and strength test...then the day is over finally...i end up sleeping in my car in the parking lot because there no way im sleeping in a dorm room with 40 men that i dont even know...and im sure half of those guys snore,fart,burp,and talk while they are asleep,,,well on day 2 of orientation i sit through about 5 boring videos..and take a road test ...wich i passed...but at the end of the day with about 5 minutes remaining ..i was told my application had been rejected..but they didnt tell me why..asked me to get my things and leave..along with about 4 or 5 other people...and the women told me i would not be reimbursed for my gas..and i would not be paid for the orientation days...my question to all of u is ...HOW CAN ANY COMPANY GET BY WITH DOING THIS TO PEOPLE???
