I indeed see this after the fact. Thanks.

I for one will say that there is almost zero talk about the union at our barn, except when I hear people say things like "I dont want to have to goto some shop steward when I have a problem", "I like the management here" and other things that seem to imply they are happy with situtation at our barn.

I have friends who say they will ride it out as long as they can at their teamser job. They hate their jobs but love the pay and free bennies no doubt.

With the competetion today there are companies not paying OT or charging a driver a huge premium for healthcare, no sort of real pension, something is going to have to give. Some companies can undercut the carriers that pay good and give good benefits because their overhead is lower. It may not happen for 10 plus years but something is going to give.

Luckily for us non union workers, we have the flexability to give and make changes to service our customers and not have to worry about going through a third party to make changes needed. Going back to the last paragraf, with true cut throat competition(there is worse out there)there will a race to the bottom at some point for our freight. We all need a niche in this market, anyone can move freight for cheap.

I am also thankful for the ability for me to get higher pay and bennies without the struggle and worries of a union worker. Thank you for leading the way.
