I would say it is easy for someone who was hired into a Teamster barn to say Con-Way employees don't have any balls. Truth is very few people at Teamster barns today have ever had to go through, what a conway employee would have to go through to become union. This is not UPS Freight, Con Way and OD specifically are steadfast anti-union companies, one person stands up and they are knocked down. Its psychological warfare, highly trained and educated union busters that know the rules and the tricks of the trade, fighting a small majority at best. It would be a beautiful thing, and I would be very proud to call any member that stood through these obstacles my brother, they'd be more Teamster than I ever could be.

If you really got balls quit your job, get hired at Con-Way, spearhead a unionization effort, and then you can say these guys don't have any gonads.

The only people I fault exist at union barns as well, they think that because they have decent pay and benefits that were negotiated for them by the union that they somehow deserve it just for being alive. Then they start talking like they are self made millionaires, how the union is bad, conservative right wing BS that only the extremely wealthy would benefit from. What happens when they bump into a car on the streets? The run for the nearest steward! Every time I see a Bush/Cheney sticker on a Datsun I have to laugh, as working people, as middle class people, we will never be able to align our needs with the ultra rich. To pretend to to do so only says your a wannabe, or you are a fool, because they have tricked you into voting against yourself, as working people in America we need to stick together, Teamster or not.
