A Bronx Diner Becomes a Teamsters Battleground - City Room - Metro - New York Times Blog

At the request of Local 202 in the Bronx, a diner has leased their rooftop space for pro union billboards. The local is in a battle with Baldors, a retail & restaurant supply warehouse. Baldors has taken steps to intimidate not only their workforce but the diner as well.

I have eaten in this diner many times when I worked the Hunt Point section of the Bronx. In a show of support for Local 202, the diner, and the workers of Baldors, I suggest anyone that works in the area, should stop by for breakfast, coffee, or lunch. A bigger Teamster presence in this area, may make the difference to all people involved.
