Thumbs down average express-slaveritt express

After working at averitt almost 5 years I finally stopped believing the lies and drinking the company kool-ade. It is truly sad to see how many Averitt drivers on here are so committed to a company that is not committed to you or your family. This company thrives on southern dummies that believe this is such a great place. Averitt's success is only due to the lack of pay the drivers are earning, all of which is going straight into Sasser's pocket. When I realized that this company was going no where, and that my paycheck wasn't either, I gave it up. If it weren't for all of the suck asses and tattle tails working there it may be better, thus causing AE to pay a little closer to the industry standard. It is impossible to fathom making your career at this God forsaken joke of a company. I have never worked at a company where so many employees were so miserable. It all boils down to greed. Averitt will never be able to keep any qualified drivers, or for that matter anyone with any self respect. It sickened me how the company acted like they were doing me a favor by letting me work for such a "great" company. My top notch record and higher than average averitt I.Q. took me to a company that pays extremely well, has great insurance, 401k and a pension, and will give me 4 weeks of vacation BEFORE I DIE. Good luck to all of you AE drivers who continue to line the pockets of G.S. and not your own. A collective bargaining agreement or a buy out might be the only thing that'll ever give you any dignity of your own or from other truck drivers...good luck
