Thanks for the reply. I have brand new antennae and the coax I'm using is the factory installed wiring. I have a buddy that drove the same truck for a while and still drives one that is exactly the same, using the same setup as me and can hear for miles.
I ran with a few other drivers today and got the range on both ends up some, but it is still not as good as the range that most of them were getting.
Longer antennae maybe???
