Just thought I would continue this topic in this forum so I was not breaking any rules. Anyway this is what 10 speed has to say about the union and FedEx. I really get a chuckle out of these types of comments when guys make them.
First off explain why I might be looking for another job because as far as I know FedEx isn't closing are they? Oh wait let me guess if I promote or talk about the union off company time ( my breaks, after work ect. ) I will get fired right? LOL I could only pray for such a thing to happen. See first off I do my job and I have no problems at all. I have never been written up for a thing and I am always where I say I am according to my paperwork. If a guy does his job can he be fired for no cause? NO he cannot and it doesn't matter what paper you signed from FedEX saying they could end your employment at anytime with no cause. You can wipe your @ss with that crap. That's just more bullcrap their dumb attorneys have come up with that holds no weight at all in court just ask any attorney in the real world. Go do some reading there 10 speed and you will see how many millions of dollars FedEx has paid out in wrongful termination suits. They dont have the best record for this by any means.
Now about your comment that FedEx will not let the union in. This alone makes me wonder if you know how it works. See the company does not vote for these things and the employees do. Now if the employees vote a union in do you think FedEx will say "we quit" and close the doors? You're the type of guy who talks crap about the union and thinks so badly of it but when it gets here you will be the guy who is always looking for backup in grievence hearings. Dont you worry though 10 speed the union will still have your back because its a brotherhood and everyone is united.
One more thing 10 speed, do you know who is voting on Oct 20? Here is a hint, the location the votes are being held in is Wilimington, MA. I guess this means if they have enough votes these guys will all be out of a job and or fired eh? LOL
