A co-driver and I were discussing the message boards and noticed all the UN-happy post on the CON-WAY board. Both of us being ex-Con-Way employees and seeing for ourselves the kind of B.S. that goes on there, We started to wonder why would any of those drivers so gladly give up their benefits and still praise the company for doing so? Both of us knowing that majority of the drivers there are being mis-lead by the top brass in the company. The fact that they bring new hires out to XGO to give a indoctrination to all new employees about the history of Con-Way. But this meeting turns into a couple of hours of bashing the TEAMSTERS. Both of our arguments turn into this meeting is basically a brain washing. Con-Way noted for telling employees that if they bring the Teamsters in they will close that terminal down. Any way I know there are allot of drivers out there being non-union have been mislead by their managers telling them that unions destroy companies. But I have come up with a way to really make this issue stick with these non believers.

One is to place a advertisement on large billboards near non union companies. Slogans like " Are you sure your pension is going to be there?" If not call the TEAMSTERS and talk to your local.

"are you truly getting paid for your hard work?
Your local Teamster is."

I Know that posting these ads will do one thing and that is put doubt into that non-union drivers head.

Lets face it the fact remains the same. Each year these drivers have no voice to make their complaints heard.

So now this is the time of uncertainty for the TEAMSTERS to capitalize on this.
The is not just for the benefits of the TEAMSTERS but for the better of us all. This helps give the common worker a voice and a opportunity to make a good living without all the uncertainty.
