This (industry) reminds me of baseball season...where we wait for Spring training to start. Nobody ever explained the lull, the slowdown, during winter season when I first got my CDL. Oh well!

Basic question: How many of you drivers ARE sitting at home waiting--for freight to start moving heavy again? Is THIS year worse or average? I mean, after reading lots of company posts it seem layoffs and job seeking and such are happeining everywhere. What's going on?
