Has anyone ever heard a REAL answer to why AE got rid of their pups? Ive asked around, and not really got a reasonable answer. 53's dont bother me, but really, in some routes a pup would be so much easier to get around, or, turn around in..... I see by the way some of our freight comes in, it would be hard to load a route on a pup, because some of the shipments are so large....it wouldnt be productive, in my opinion, to get more freight on the street. But to eliminate them altogether baffles me. I heard a driver say that he asked Richard King this question, and he said Richard said that too many people were getting "killed"? I dont know if this was an answer "twisted" by the driver, but it didnt make much sense. Any body have a real answer?
