Fuel Economy
Wellll, the AE Pravda reported last month that 5 of our units were getting over 8 mpg. Yeah, right. Also there was a comparison of 5.5 mpg to 7.5 mpg and alllllll of the savings we would see. I new the spin would be coming but I didn't realize it was going to be this distorted
Sorry, there is no way that cutting a truck down 3 mph is going to increase fuel mileage by 2 mpg. IS NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
First of all, I have never seen 7 mpg on my castrated daycab. Weather, wind, weight, etc. all play a role in your fuel mileage. Also running the truck an extra 30 minutes per day is burning 5 more gallons on a previous 10 hour run.
Come on guys, don't buy this hype you read in the Pravda. 8 mpg on a castrated AE tractor? What are they running on, the APU?
As I have stated before, corp. tells you what they want you to hear, not what is necessarily the truth. Always has been, always will be. Man am I sick of the daily lies.
