Turn on your wipers drivah!!! I can't see a thing!!

Us old school drivers came along before they had wipers.
Heck, my company was so poor, we didn't even have headlights.
Just navigated like we were bats.

This carving of Jesus being taken down from the cross was done by a Monk living in a Monastary in South Carolina called Mepken Abbey.
He carved it from one huge live oak that was blown down by hurricane Hugo. It took him 4 yrs to complete it. Pic. took by me last week while on vacation.
Roman soldier in background is about 8' tall. That's Mary and another woman knelt in front.

Interesting carving to be sure. He may weant to protect it in some fashion before the anti christians out there try and destroy this fine work.

I like southern houses as well but also love those silver ponies. Nice on all fronts!

Yea your right Lifer there are some that would destroy that carving.
What keeps it safe for now is that it's on the grounds of the monastary and is well watched by the Monks. Also that place is so far back in the low country boon-docks I liked to have never found it!
Thanks for the compliment on my little pony car. It sure was fun cruising around the Charleston area in it.
