Heard through the grapevine today that there are some service centers that may be shutting down. Just wondered what anyone else has heard.

News to me.

I wouldn't be suprised with some of our largest centers looking like ghost towns I can't see keeping some small ones open when they could be covered by larger ones...

My service center was the only one in our region to operate under100 last quarter. But everything is just fine.

Well, I hope these are just rumors. It actually feels like things might be picking back up a little out there.

They did shut down some smaller ones several years back and consolidated them into larger terminals. If my recollection is correct, most of this took place in Tn.
