Jimmy's World

Boss says I'd BETTER start Jimmy's World on here! I've never blogged, other than posting on the Forums. Here Goes:
Two years ago, my Middle Son (Now a crew chief on a KC135 refueling jet-- USAF) was in high school. One of his new teachers was the Grammer/Literary Teach. Very Politically Correct; strictly Separation of Church and State. Told her class-- anyone bringing up religion in her class would be expelled!
One day she handed out assignments-- write two speeches. First one: A description of your views on ANY subject-- no limits on parameters. Second speech: A persuasion speech to convince anyone of the validity of the first speech. My son raised his hand. The teacher recognized him for a question. "ANY subject?" he asked. "Why yes, of course." But again he asked "Are you sure-- ANY subject?" "Why, yes. What part of ANY do you not understand??????" she answered, by now obviously angered......
Speech day came. Middle Son up. "My speech today is 'Why Gay Marriage creates an Official Religion that is an Abomination to Christians.'" He started his speech while the teacher's jaw dropped open. When she recovered, she stopped him and told him to report straight to the Principal's Office!
He walked into the Principal's Office, and was asked why in the world was HE there' he'd not been much of a trouble-maker before (other than when he got suspended for bragging about his knife collection-- a different story)....The phone rang. He told the Principal that was probably about him. The Principal (a Lesbian, by the way, but not pushy about it) finished on the phone, and laughed. She told my kid to just stay in the office while the teacher calmed down-- then go to his next class; no problems-- it'll pass......
The bell rang. My kid reported to his next scheduled class. Same teacher. 2nd speech. Again, he was first up. He stood up, announced his speech, part II. Looked at the teacher, folded his notes, and reported to the office again....... The Principal looked at him coming in, and started to ask......the phone rang. "That'll be about me" my son said.
Ahh, School. Can't live without it. Certainly can't live WITH it!
He finished the day in school. Still "stirs the pot" occaisionally. Of my 4 children, he may just be the closest to being a "Chip off the old block!!!!!"

| | He now works at Grissom on the weekends (but will be deployed in January-- to either Kgyrkistan (sp?)-- Manus Air Base); or Guam, where he is Supposed to go; or IF Russia stays in Georgia-- possibly Turky Incirlik AFB) and attends Purdue U during the week to study Mechanical Engineering. The first day, he got to campus late coming straight from Base in his Basic Duty Uniform. A group of Obama supporters in their T-shirts blocked his path. He walked thru them, getting booed........ I'm extremely proud that he held his temper. Didn't need to land in the brig and get Dishonorable Discharge for dealing with a group of losers that can't recognize he's protecting them! |

| | Jimmy; I am so happy that your son makes you proud. I am sure he will continue to do so. But, as far as taking war away from your home land in an effort to protect your home land, I feel that it is akin to imprisoning "gangsters" in Chicago to protect the citizens of Los Angeles. It is significantly more economic to do your fighting where it most counts. Surely, America can defend Her borders, but only someone crazy will stir up a hornets nest in the neighbours yard. |
