Hard Times

Times are tough, and it doesn't look like they're getting better any time soon, but I think if people keep their wits about them, and use some common sense, we will be able to wait this out until better times come around again.
Here are a few things to keep in mind to help make it through the tough times:

Don't go into any new debt.

Buy from Consignment shops (you won't believe home much money you can save by buying gently used clothes, baby clothes, blankets,...

Well, I'm off to take my hazmat and tanker test... I HATE test's!!! I'm one of those people who freeze up and forget all that they know, when it comes to testing...

bail out

I'm glad the bail out didn't happen. I think it sends a message to big corporations that we don't need them that badly. And the country won't be destroyed if we don't keep them afloat!
I personally think that all big corp.'s should disappear, and bring back the smaller operations. Bring back the days when you could walk down the street and pay your bills, instead of sending a check to a place you've never seen or been to!

The Philadelphia experience

It all started with the pre plan, which showed up on my qual com. 3 Pick ups. New Jersey, Philly, and Philly.... We both groaned in misery as we accepted the load (like we really had a choice). NJ.. No problem... loaded and left.
Philly...Oy VEY!!!
The instructions told us to park on the street, blocking one lane of traffic, and walk down an alley, past a bar, to a small wharehouse...
So we did, and a couple of guys come out with the intention of blocking traffic (4 lanes...
