Earlier this week, while driving in White out conditions in Nebraska, we almost bought the farm twice, but thanks to his skillfull driving, he managed to avoid a ditch, and a possibly deadly jacknife situation.

Great, we are stuck for goodness knows how long in Winnamucca, NV.

Our truck barely made it over Donner, then I babied it all the way to the frieghtliner in winnamucca, and they hooked to truck up to the computer, and guess what. They didn't have the updated softwear for the detroit engine, so they couldn't do their thing. Or so they thought. I miss summer... I really really miss summer! Rob and I switched shift's last week. He wanted to give night driving a try. He couldn't make it the first night. After only 250 miles, he had to pull over and go to sleep. I woke up a few hours later, and it was 16 degrees!! and he forgot to turn the apu heater on!!! Thank goodness I have 4 quilts on the bed!!
After 2 days of driving nights... or rather, attempting to drive nights.. he wanted his day shift back. I had no problems with...

Times are tough, and it doesn't look like they're getting better any time soon, but I think if people keep their wits about them, and use some common sense, we will be able to wait this out until better times come around again.
Here are a few things to keep in mind to help make it through the tough times:
