yeah, man do i hate the winter season....

gotta get the snowblowers ready...

gotta get the garden "put to bed" for winter..

gotta get the old oil burners running for the heat...

gotta pay the oilman for the oil....yuck....

gotta put plastic window coverings on the attic windows..

gotta let my hair (what's left up there) to grow longer....

yep, its nearing the time of year when we should start thinking about winter's cold blast, and the snow. ok, i know its only the first 2 days of october, but why put off tomorrow, what can be done today..??

about 2 weeks ago, i bought a new set (4) new sneakers for my pick-up truck. nice deep threads.

today, i spent even a few dollars more by getting a new battery. the "old one" was now 4.5 years old. from my personal experiences, you don't wanna be someplace...

reading the sunday comics, or the daily comics in my local newspaper have i actually seen this happen....

my next door neighbor's kid was running for the school bus just the other morning....

so was his tiny dog....

his dog jumped up and INTO the school bus...i could hear the other kids laughing..

the bus driver just shook his head...

the neighbors kid caught the dog, ran back to the house, where his mother actually met him half...

there used to be an old tv commercial for Fram filters, oil, gasoline, air....

some of you older guys might remember them.

there would be the "mechanic" literally inside the engine compartment....the hood would raise up, and he'd be holding a Fram filter.

he would then say, "you can pay me now, or pay me later".....

what he was referring to was in the earlier years something unthinkable...it was called "preventative...

i went to the local "big name" supermarket chain in my area....huge, so many food choices, so many isles of products.......

but never enough cashiers, or those stupid "self serve" checkout lines....uh, excuse me, but for the prices i pay, i want someone to check out my food items AND BAG my items........

then they ask you for "your card", you know the supermarket card for your discounts.....

if they know, or the computer knows...
